Day 1 Curchi - Old Orhei - Cricova Winery

You will have the opportunity to experience the greatness of the Curchi Monastery, one of the main attractions of Moldova and an architectural monument from the 17th century. The monastery is built on picturesque hills covered with forests.

Next, visit the open-air museum known as Old Orhei, one of the most picturesque places in Moldova. It features architectural monuments of urban style, with many preserved buildings of significant interest to historians, archaeologists, and architects.

Cricova is a national treasure and one of the most renowned wineries in Moldova. It represents a unique underground city known worldwide for its vast labyrinths and especially its excellent wines.

The tour is planned in such way, that you never get bored: 

• Pick up at hotel/apartment
• 45 minutes drive to Curchi Monastery
• 45 minutes excursion  at the monastery
• 30 minutes drive to Old Orhei - 1 hour exploration of the site
• 1 hour for relaxing lunch/dinner (extra charge)
• 45 minutes drive to Cricova
• 2 hours guided tour of the winery: the underground streets; The maturing section; Sparkling wine production section; National collection and “Tasting Halls”;  3 types of wines; Nuts, biscuits, water.
• 35 min drive back to Chisinau/hotel
