Hancu Monastery, dedicated to "Saint Pious Paraskeva," is located about 70 km west of Chisinau and 32 km from Straseni. It was established in 1678 and named after Moldova's protector, Pious Paraskeva. The monastery was founded by Moldovan boyar Mihalcea Hancu, who is considered an important figure in the history of Christianity in medieval Moldova.

We invite you to visit the War Memorial, Sturgeon Farm, which produce most welcomed delicacy - black caviar. Lunch in the restaurant “Back in the USSR” with Soviet period dishes. Excursion at Aquatir - the largest sturgeon farm from S-E Europe.
Bender fortress is one of the eldest buildings of our region, its history is unique. Excursion at Bender fortress - entire assembly is located on the right bank of the lower Nistru River, between localities Varna and Bender.
