It is a national heritage site located approximately 60 km away from the capital city of Chisinau, amidst three villages: Butuceni, Morovaia, and Trebujeni. Orhei Vechi is an archaeological and historical complex that includes two modest yet ancient museums, an ancient rocky church, and several privately owned old-fashioned hotels, designed in a traditional style, situated in the villages of Butuceni and Trebujeni. Old Orhei is an exceptionally tranquil and charming place with impressive landscapes and a rich historical background that entices tourists to discover Moldova's ancient roots.
