TRANSNISTRIA - CAVIAR & COGNAC

Day 1 FISH FARM - KVINT - LUNCH & BENDER FORTRESS

Today you will have a special day. After breakfast you start by bus and the journey will take you to Transnistria - the eastern part of Moldova has declared itself independent and is supported by Russia.

During the visit of a sturgeon farm used for caviar production, you will learn many interesting details about the black gold of Russia. Afterwards a tasting is possible (optional -27 EUR). One thing is certain here:

Caviar lovers will surely get their money's worth.  Enjoy traditional Transnistrian food at the local restaurant.

After lunch, you will learn more about life in independent Transnistria during a city tour in Tiraspol!  In the afternoon visit the Cognac fabric KVINT.  A guided tour will tell you a lot about the production of the famous noble drop.  A tasting round off the visit.

The next point is fortress Bender, where Baron Munchausen is said to have completed his cannon flight.  Excursions to Transnistria are affectionately called "time trips to the communist past" by the Moldovans.

• 1 hour drive from Chisinau to Transnistria
• 1 hour tour to explore Fish Farm
• 1 hour for lunch at restaurant
• 30 minutes tour within Tirapsol
• 1,5 hour to explore KVINT factory with cognak tasting
• 1 hour to visit Bender Fortress
• 1.5 hour drive to Chisinau.
