Day 2 CURCHI MONASTERY & OLD ORHEI & MILESTII MICI WINERY

After breakfast departure to Curchi Monastery. Curchi Monastery is a stunning religious site located in central Moldova, known for its beautiful Baroque-style architecture and serene surroundings. Visitors can explore the monastery's ornate churches and peaceful grounds while learning about its rich history as a center of spiritual life and culture in the region.

Next stop is Old Orhei, historical & archaeological complex. This is a real open-air museum, one of the most remarkable monuments. Visitors can explore this heritage by visiting the cave monasteries and churches, such as the easily accessible Peştera monastery above Butuceni village, as well as other nearby cave monasteries. Enjoy the lunch in the traditional restaurant “Butuceni”.

Departure to wine cellar Milestii Mici - the largest underground wine cellar in Moldova. Viticulture and winemaking have been cultivated in Moldova for centuries, with many regions justifiably proud of their vineyards and exceptional yields. The "Milestii Mici" winery is renowned for its impressive collection of 1,500,000 bottles, recognized by the Guinness World Records in 2005 as the largest wine collection in the world. It has more than 200 km of limestone tunnels, 55 km of which are used for storing wine. The tunnels are named after the wines kept there.

You will try 3 types of wines with fourchette.

Arriving at the hotel; Free time.

Day 3 MONASTERY HINCU & PARENTS HOUSE & CRICOVA WINERY

Breakfast in the hotel.

Departure to Monastery Hincu - was built in 1678 by the Great High Steward Mihail Hancu after one of his daughters expressed a desire for the religious life. The monastery was founded by Moldovan boyar Mihalcea Hancu, who is considered an important figure in the history of Christianity in medieval Moldova. She became a nun and took the name of Parascheva.

The “Parents House” museum - house from Moldovan grandparents, you will try special dishes which are prepared only in this region of Moldova, accompanied with Moldovan traditional life music. Visitors can explore the intricately decorated rooms filled with authentic household items, textiles, and handcrafted objects. This museum provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Moldova's cultural heritage and learn about the customs and traditions that have been passed down through generations.

After Lunch, departure to Cricova - is a national treasure and the most well known wineries in Moldova. It is the second largest underground wine cellar in the country, after Milestii Mici. Cricova boasts nearly 120 km of underground tunnels that are large enough for vehicles to drive through.

We invite to visit the War Memorial, Sturgeon Farm, which produce most welcomed delicacy - black caviar. Then - a sightseeing tour of Transnistria's “capital” (Tiraspol), the monument of Lenin, Suvorov and Ekaterina II. Lunch in a typical sovietic restaurant “Back in the USSR”.
